In 1989, M&M Mars candy company put out two highly detailed, and fairly large, candy containers, A Snickers ghost and a Milky Way Pumpkin. They are made of blow molded plastic and are called “Trick-O’-Treater”. In 1990, they released a third character, and sold all three that year. The third was a green goblin filled with 3 Musketeers.
The Snickers Ghost and Milky Way Pumpkin candy containers came shrink wrapped and stuffed with 20 oz., or approximately 32, candy bars. The candy bars inside matched the candy bar the character was “holding” in front of them. Each container cam with a braided cord handle in a coordinating color. These are in no chronological order.

Snickers Ghost 1
A white ghost with a an oval mouth wide open. Stickers are a plain brown snickers candy bar in his hands. His eyes and nose are a single sticker. His eyes are blue and have a teardrop shape, and his oval nose is light blue and has a reflective shine near the top. The Snickers ghost is looking downwards and appears almost worried.

Snickers Ghost 2
The same mouth and a very similar, if not identical, body shape, although I cannot tell without seeing them in person, so if you know for certain if the mold is the same, please leave a comment below. Plain brown Snickers candy bar sticker also has to little to no changes from the other ghost. The sticker eyes have changed dramatically, sacrificing their tear-drop shape in favor of a more wide open wonder look. The Snickers ghost now looks up and away. The nose has been removed entirely.

Milky Way Pumpkin 1
Orange Jack o Lantern. The hands, four fingers, eyebrows, and pumpkin accents are molded. Candy bar sticker reads “Milky Way Bar” in green letters. The entire face is one sticker. He has large green eyes that look up, and a wide open, toothless grin. You can see the tongue and uvula clearly. No nose.

Milky Way Pumpkin 2
Could be the same mold, as the fingers, hands, and eyebrows appear similar. Milky Way Bar sticker now also says “Mars” and looks slightly more modern. Face sticker is again one piece, but the green eyes now look down and the uvula is gone, replaced with 2 front teeth. The tongue is still visible and there’s a suggestion of a small nose.
