In 1991 McDonald’s nodded to our favorite orange pumpkin McBoo by naming their Halloween Happy Meal premiums that year after him – three vinyl, glow-in-the-dark plastic bags. What’s kind of funny is there aren’t any pumpkins! There’s a witch (green bag), Franken-kid (orange bag) and a ghost (purple bag).

 McDonald’s offered two Halloween Pails in 1999 as Happy Meal premiums. Both feature McDonald’s familiar McDonaldland characters, the first is white with a bat “hat” cookie cutter and Ronald McDonald, while the second is orange with a green pumpkin stem, pumpkin-shaped,  cookie cutter, and Birdie and Grimace.

After a nine-year hiatus, McDonald’s has decided to re-introduce the Halloween happy meal premium bucket! McDonald’s hasn’t given away Halloween themed buckets since 2001, but they’ve returned in 2010! They’re definitely pacing themselves, as there are only two different buckets to collect.
