The 1920 Dennison Bogie Book is one of many Bogie books, an item that has gone up and down, yo-yo’ing in price for decades now. Reprints are available for a reasonable price, and are really wonderful little books to have if you want to lose yourself in vintage Halloween (and who doesn’t?)
Printed first in the year 1909, the books were colorful brochures chock full of ideas using crepe paper and other products sold by Dennison manufacturing company. Some ideas in the booklet included costumes, decorations for parties of all kinds, menus, games, and invitations. The booklet is broken up into different types of events and suggestions for each. The Dennison sold many unique printed paper items and colored crepe paper that made creating these homemade Halloween decorations rather easy.
Dennison published Bogie Books annually from 1912 until 1935, missing only 2 years in that time span. In 1990, the Dennison manufacturing company merged with Avery, and they are still operational today as Avery/Dennison manufacturing company.
